Its Midsummer and there is an abundance in nature of healing herbs and wild medicines. For those living close to nature this is a time to harvest and prepare medicines for the rest of the year. Its also a time when we are more active and so its great to learn how the plants around us can make a powerful addition to our home first aid kits and dispensaries.
In this full hands on day we will be learning how to work with the plants around us for helping in minor first aid needs and healing. We will be covering wound care, burns, bruising, fevers, sprains, tissue damage and bone healing. key herbs include Plantain, Daisy, yarrow, Comfrey, Calendula and we will be working with many more herbs, learning about their properties and how they can help. We will have a herb walk in the garden to see the plants growing and harvesting them for our medicine making. You will be learning the art of making infused oils, salves and cream making as well as learning how to dry herbs for teas. The workshop costs £70 and you will be able to take home a few pots of what you make for use at home. Handouts are included
